We handmade and decorated our KBS donation boxes, and we’re grateful to have placed two of them at Congregation Har Shalom, a local synagogue whose community generously donated books and toys. A special thank-you to Principal Sara Fink for meeting with us today and for allowing us to place our donation boxes in the synagogue!
Thanks to the support of the Potomac Community Center, we were able to place a KBS donation box near the entrance for books and toys. A big thank-you to Kamal Meyers for meeting with us and allowing us to set up this donation box!
McLean Bible Church – Montgomery County kindly welcomed our donation box, allowing members to contribute books and toys.
Our first KBS bake sale was an amazing success!Thank you to everyone who stopped by, grabbed a treat, donated, or simply showed your support. Because of this incredible community, we raised $360 in just a few hours - funds that will directly help us purchase sensory toys and children’s books for Deaf and Hard of Hearing children.
We were thrilled to deliver over 80 toys and books to Strawberry Knoll Elementary School’s special education program. It was wonderful meeting with Mrs. Rix, and we’re grateful for the chance to support the incredible work happening in your classrooms.

We dropped off 80+ toys and books to Brookhaven Elementary School to support their special education spaces.
So grateful to have received $400 from the Contribution Project hosted by the Cornell University Research Team. Today, we were able to donate to Rock Creek Valley’s Deaf and Hard of Hearing program - one of only two MCPS schools with a dedicated D/HH program within special education. Knowing how limited these programs are, we knew we had to reach out and support their students.A huge thank you to Ms. Copp for meeting with us and sharing your classroom wishlist. We were able to purchase everything on it to better support her students and their learning!
Today, we donated 100+ sensory toys to Cresthaven Elementary School to support their special education program. This school specifically requested sensory toys, and we’re so grateful to Ms. Snyder, a special education teacher, for meeting with us and sharing exactly what her students needed. These resources will go directly to supporting her students’ learning and daily routines!
Over 150 sensory toys were collected from Cathedral Catholic High School and donated to Lafayette Elementary School’s special education program, thanks to Keanu Z from San Diego. Deaf Community Services of San Diego is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering Deaf, Hard of Hearing, and Deaf-Disabled individuals through advocacy, education, accessibility services, and community programs. We’re so grateful to partner with an organization that does such meaningful work for the Deaf community.

We’re so excited to share that over 80 sensory toys were donated to the Wheaton Woods Special Education Program. A huge thank you to Mrs. Ebersole for kindly accepting these donations and for the incredible work she does supporting her students. As a Title I school, many students in her program have communication needs and are hard of hearing, autistic, or have severe intellectual disabilities and these sensory items will make a meaningful difference in their daily learning.
We’re excited to share that 55+ sensory toys were donated to Lafayette Elementary School in San Diego. This donation was led by Keanu Z., who organized the collection through Cathedral Catholic High School and the wider San Diego community. We’re incredibly grateful for Keanu’s leadership and for the San Diego community’s commitment to making a meaningful impact!
