Our Work
Accessibility can take many forms.
Every student and community faces different barriers to learning. Through sensory resources, education, tactile design, and community-driven technology, we work to make learning more accessible in different ways.

Sensory Resources
Supporting different ways of learning.
Every student learns differently, but classrooms don't always have the resources to support those differences. KBS provides sensory toys, books, and tactile materials to help Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing students and children with diverse learning needs explore, communicate, and learn.

Making accessibility part of the conversation.
Through educational posts, Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing stories, and community spotlights, we share knowledge, challenge misconceptions, and encourage more inclusive ways of learning and communicating.

Community Learning Map
Making community resources easier to discover.
Many community book boxes hold valuable books, but their contents remain unknown until someone visits. Our AI-powered map makes these books visible, searchable, and easier to discover.
Anyone can contribute by adding a book box or photographing its contents. AI helps turn those photos into searchable book lists.
Tactile Learning & Design
Turning ideas into something you can feel.
Music is often taught through sound, but pitch can also be experienced through touch. Our 3D-printed tactile C-major scale uses different physical heights to represent each note's pitch, helping students explore music in a new way.
